Our sponsors, donors and supporters 2017

Please keep checking back as we are continually receiving donations of prizes for our raffle, sponsorship to cover our costs and help in the run up to and on the day.  Thank you to all those local businesses and organisations that help make our event bigger and better each year.

After donating prizes last year, we are delighted that Maison Duplanteur, the chocolate manufacture in the centre of  Grasse, are sponsoring our event for the first time this year.  Their donation will go towards the refreshments for our walkers and runners and their supporting friends and family.  They are also planning to have people participating on the day which is wonderful news.  A huge thanks to them to their support.

Support from our local Soroptimists

We are delighted to have practical support this year from our local Soroptimists.  As well as some of their members taking part in the event they are also helping in the run up to it and on the day itself.

Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement working together to transform the lives of women and girls. Their members in 29 countries work at a local, national and international level to educate empower and enable opportunities for women and girls.

The name Soroptimist was coined from the Latin soror meaning sister, and optima meaning best. There are nearly 80,000 Soroptimists worldwide, the majority of whom belong to their local Club, where they can make friends with like-minded women, have fun and work on projects that help improve the lives of women and girls locally, nationally and internationally.

For more information about our local Soroptomist group please look at their website: http://vallauris-sa-mougins.soroptimist.fr/ or their Facebook page: Soroptimist International Vallauris-Sophia Antipolis-Mougins

Whilst most of their information is currently in French, they are a very international group, and indeed their current President is English.  So if you are interested to know more please do get in touch with them.

Support from the local boulangerie

The boulangerie de l'Etang are supporting us for the first time this year, by providing croissants and pain au chocolats for participants and supporters.  What a lovely way to help us!

Getting warmed up - funfit4life

We are delighted to once again have Veronique and Sarah from funfit4life warming us all up beforehand.  This year they will be doing one longer session, so participants are encouraged to arrive in plenty of time to compete their registration and join in the fun warm-up.  Supporters and spectators are welome to join in as well!

We continue to be supported by a whole range of local businesses, who generously donate prizes for our raffle.  We cannot thank them enough for their continued support.  Please support our local businesses with your custom.

Looking after you on the day

In additional to taking part, we once again we have the medical support  - if needed - of Debbie and Jodi from Medical Marine.

We are delighted to once again have sponsorship from Yachting Financial Solutions, Freedom Maritime and Bluewater.  It is really wonderful to have their continued support.

Their support will cover the cost of the event insurance and go towards the refreshments on the day, which we are able to offer at no cost to participants and supporters, thanks to their generosity.

This in turn means that every penny raised from registration fees and for raffle prizes will go to Cancer Research UK.
